  4. Think for yourself

Made for ages 3–10. Read together with younger children and talk about the pictures; older kids can read along on their own and try the deeper books.

Questions

Questions grown-ups ask

What ages are Pico's AI Books for?

Ages 3 to 10. Read together with younger children and talk about the pictures. Older kids can read along on their own and try the deeper books. For ages 2 to 6, Pico's Playroom has short AI games that need no reading.

What will my child learn?

How AI learns from examples, how chatbots guess the next word and sometimes make things up, how AI makes pictures and imagines what happens next, first coding ideas like steps, loops, bugs and if-then rules, how computers keep and find information, and what happens inside an AI's decisions. Every book ends with Pico's promise: people are in charge, check together, keep it private, and think for yourself.

Does my child need to read?

No. Every line is read aloud and each word lights up as it is spoken, and every page has a game to tap. Pico's Playroom has no text for the child at all.

Which languages are available?

English, 日本語 (Japanese), español (Spanish) and 简体中文 (Simplified Chinese). English and Japanese have recorded narration. Spanish and Chinese are read aloud with the device's own voice. You can switch languages any time.

Do we need to install an app or make an account?

No. The books run in the web browser on phones, tablets and computers. On an iPhone or iPad, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, to open them full screen. Kids never need an account.

Is it safe and private?

There are no ads and no tracking. Progress, stickers and settings are saved only on your device.

How long does each book take?

Each book has four to six short chapters, and each chapter takes a few minutes. Every book ends with a party and a certificate with your child's name.
